Meet Our Founder
Hi I’m Andrea Chapman the sole therapist at Colorado Adolescent Counseling. I am a proud Colorado native and there is no where else I’d rather call home. I always say, other than being a mom, therapy is the one thing I felt I was meant to be on this earth for. Growing up I always was a listener for all of my friends and their problems. Looking back, my barbies had more therapy sessions than I can count. It’s something I felt I’ve done for a life time.
After experiencing PTSD symptoms after a serious accident and receiving my own therapy, I knew what I was meant to do. In 2018 I received my bachelors degree in Psychology and in 2021 I received my masters degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, both from Southern New Hampshire University. After graduation I began work as a school counselor at Monfort Elementary. During this time I was able to truly focus on relationships and grew my foundation as a therapist. The rapport and relationship I have with each child I encounter is truly the most important thing to me. After two years, I went back into therapy as school based therapist at Eaton Middle and High Schools. I believe this really helped solidify my passion for working with adolescents.
When I am not working I am a proud mom to two daughters who keep me and my husband of 15 years very busy! If I’m not at a softball field you can find me at a dance competition.
